11.Riker Mount, Artifacts: An assortment of bifaces and projectile points from Arkansas. Top row are fashioned from heat treated novaculite from Arkansas. The stemmed pieces are from the Archaic Period. Second row is a biface of Burlington chert (horizontal) couched between two stemmed Archaic Period projectile points. Middle row are stemmed projectile points and an assortment of chert bifaces. The highlight of the assemblage is a broken fluted Clovis point of Paleo-Indian age. The point is fashioned from high grade Burlington Chert. The bottom row features two circular hide scrapers, surrounding a number of Archaic Period projectile points.
12.Riker Mount, Artifacts: A variety of stemmed, lobate and notched projectile points largely fashioned from Arkansas Novaculite and Burlington Chert. The second row includes a stemmed hide scraper, large bifaces and a lozenge shaped point. Third row are tapered and notched projectile points and a lozenge shaped drill. The bottom row includes a chert and obsidian biface and an assortment of Middle and Late Archaic projectile points. The third item from the right is a Meserve Point of Early Archaic Age.
13.Riker Mount, Artifacts: The assemblage includes a wide variety of stemmed, lozenge shaped, notched, and lobate projectile points, all fashioned from novaculite, Burlington Chert, Boone Formation Chert and Sedalia Chert. The bottom row features a stemmed Buffalo skinning knife. On the lower right corner is a biface fashioned from Hixton Quartzite originating in Wisconsin.
14.Riker Mount, Artifacts: Colorful assemblage of notched and tapered stemmed projectile points from northern Illinois, Arkansas, and Iowa. Special here is the presence of Praire Du Chai’n Chert originating in southeast Iowa. (see far upper right corner). The mid-portion includes large bifaces and two specimens of heat treated Arkansas Novaculite. The center piece of the frame is a small Dalton adze fashioned from heat treated Boone Formation Chert. The lower row includes small stemmed chert bifaces fashioned from Burlington Chert, rose quartz and Crescent Chert.
15.Riker Mount, Artifacts: The assemblage is comprised of notched, stemmed and oblate stemmed projectile points originating from western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and Indiana. The objects are fashioned from Arkansas Novaculite, Burlington Chert, and Ft. Payne chert. Most of the specimens are of Late Archaic Age; while the lobate stemmed piece in the bottom row is of Adena affiliation. The specimen along the upper row, third from the left is another buffalo skinning scraper.
